I purchased queen in cream color. It’s a medium weight, which I wanted. I followed washing instructions and line dried. I’m pleased to share it washed and dried without any difficulty. It’s used every night and is great for Central Coast Ca., fall weather. When it becomes chillier, I’ll toss a comforter on top. I’ll be warm/cool all seasons, I’m certain.I considered this blanket expensive, but ordered it anyway because finding good linens from Portugal is not easy. And I was not disappointed. I bought the king size for a queen size bed because I want the extra sizing. It advised to wash before using, and advised to expect some shrinkage. Washed, cold water, Machine dried, low heat. It did not create lint balls, it was completely dry in one hour and ten minutes, and when I put it on the bed the size is great. Plenty of overhang. The lint filter on the dryer was full of cotton fluff, not lint balls, but not one piece of lint on the blanket. I am very satisfied. This blanket will be too warm for July and August, but will be used ten months of the year for sure!!Living in the south, it can be difficult to find just the right blanket that can work for you through all seasons. This Queen size (pearl color) cotton blanket is well made, launders like a dream, and looks really expensive. I really appreciate the smidge of extra room this blanket provides versus most Queen size blankets when making up my bed. I wash on gentle cycle, cold water, and dry on low heat. I can't tell it shrunk any at all. About the snagging...well what can I tell you? Don't handle while wearing your jewelry! I'm really pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it.The blanket is light weight and is great for a spring time of year. After washing it was large enough to comfortably fit the king size bed with overhang on both sides of the bed.Love it. Very lightPricey but worth it. I live in central Florida and this is the perfect blanket for keeping us the right temp. when the AC is off (just the ceiling fan). The material is just soft enough. I got a king size for a queen bed. Does take a long time to dry.It's perfect for our needs and our larger bedThe blanket I received is not soft and not really light weight. There were no instructions regarding washing the blanket before use, I did anyway as the other reviews said they did. I don't believe I will order from Peacock Alley again.
