I bought a "red" and a "brown" one. The red is darker than the picture appears, about halfway between red and burgundy. I actually like it better. I wish I had bought two reds and skipped the brown, which is more like tan.Finally a blanket that is generous size to fit my king-sized bed. It's lighter weight than my Pendleton blanket but a fraction of the price and is versatile because of it's weight. Completely edged/bound of all 4 sides - good. I washed it in cold water and air dried it as instructed. No shrinkage. I've given two of these as gifts and will probably give more.This is a beautiful blanket with a soft hand, but it is light weight, even though I ordered the heaviest offered. Still great, especially for the late spring, summer, and early fall. Great value. I have owned this blanket for about 6 months. My biggest disappointment is the way this blanket sheds and pills. I find dust devils imbedded with the wool. At first, I thought it was fur balls from my chocolate Labrador retriever. Upon closer inspection, it was a combination of both, and some were just the wool. I have never had a wool blanket shed as much as this one. I don't think I would buy this brand again.This blanket is a good(generous) size and I like the ribbon running all the way around, although it's a bit narrow. My one complaint is that it's not as soft as I wish it were.I have been looking for a summer weight wool blanket for some time. Most of the cotton blankets lack structure and are a mess by morning. This is well made and tucks in on both sides! Great binding on all sides. A bit more than I wanted to pay but worth it.
